Infection Control

Front DeskInfection control and universal precautions are in place to protect the patients, the staff and the doctor alike. Everyone can benefit from these procedures which foster a safe dental practice and are required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The required measures include…

  • Disinfecting hand soap
  • Gloves and face masks
  • Chemical disinfectant of all counters and hard surfaces
  • Sterilization of all dental instruments
  • Using disposable materials

We use a chemiclave, a KavoClave and an autoclave to sterilize all reusable instruments to ensure the highest standard of infection control.
